Bengaluru, January 3, 2026: In a shocking incident, a young doctor pursuing her postgraduate studies at Sapthagiri Medical College was allegedly molested by an unidentified man while returning home after completing her hospital duties.
Immediate Police Action
Following the alleged molestation, the doctor lodged a complaint at Soladevanahalli Police Station. Based on her report, authorities have registered a case and are actively investigating to identify and apprehend the accused.
Details of the Incident
According to reports, the incident occurred on December 17 at around 12:49 am. The doctor was on her way to her rented accommodation when a man on a two-wheeler approached her, pretending to ask for directions to a bus stop.
Molestation Allegation
Within moments, the accused allegedly groped her chest and behaved inappropriately. Shocked and frightened, the doctor screamed for help, prompting the man to flee the scene on his bike.
Pattern of Offender’s Behaviour
Police have stated that the accused may be targeting women walking or riding alone during late hours. He reportedly approaches them suddenly, hugs or touches them inappropriately, and escapes on his two-wheeler.
Victim’s Academic Background
The doctor is currently pursuing her master’s degree at Sapthagiri Medical College after completing her MBBS, highlighting concerns about the safety of medical students and professionals in the city.
