56-Year-Old Woman Suffers 40% Leg Disability After Surgery

Bhiwandi: The Bhiwandi city police have registered a case against three doctors from a private hospital for alleged medical negligence in the treatment of a 56-year-old woman who was injured in a road accident three years ago. The improper surgery resulted in a 40% disability in her leg.

Negligence Led to Severe Infection

The doctors from Heal Life Hospital have been accused of failing to provide proper treatment during surgery, leading to a severe infection in the patient’s leg. Due to the complications, she had to seek further treatment at another hospital, where she spent lakhs of rupees to save her leg from amputation.

FIR Registered Against Three Doctors

The accused doctors have been identified as Dr. Shahid Khan, Dr. Santosh Yadav, and Dr. Jitendra Nikhumbh. Police have booked them under Section 338 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for causing grievous hurt by acting rashly or negligently.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
