CM Reviews Health Department Performance
Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday directed strict action against any misuse or irregularities in government health programmes. He urged officials to ensure regular monitoring of medicines and diagnostic services in government hospitals to improve healthcare delivery.

Strengthening Healthcare Delivery
Chairing a review meeting of the Medical and Health Department at the Chief Minister’s residence, Sharma reiterated the state government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and ensuring the effective implementation of departmental schemes.

Focus on Emergency and Maternity Services
Sharma instructed officials to ensure smooth functioning of emergency and maternity-related services, including 108 ambulance services, 104 Janani Express, and Mamta Express, emphasizing the need for prompt medical assistance for patients across the state.

School Eye Screening Camps
Reviewing eye screening camps in government schools, the Chief Minister asked officials to conduct these camps division-wise. He stressed that students in need should receive spectacles without delay, ensuring early intervention for vision-related issues.

Zero Tolerance for Negligence
Sharma warned that negligence in healthcare services would not be tolerated. He emphasized that strict action would be taken against personnel failing to adhere to service standards, signaling a crackdown on malpractice in government hospitals.

Strict Measures for RGHS Misuse
The Chief Minister further directed authorities to take stringent action against individuals found misusing benefits under the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS), aiming to safeguard public funds and ensure equitable healthcare access.

Officials Present at Review Meeting
Senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Office and the Medical and Health Department were present during the meeting. Discussions focused on improving hospital services, emergency care, and preventive health programmes across the state.

Ayushman Bharat Benefits Extended Nationwide
In a related development, the Rajasthan government approved cashless treatment for Ayushman cardholders in hospitals across India, including Gujarat, under both AB-PMJAY and Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana. This “outbound portability” of benefits will take effect from December 15, 2025, following requests from Udaipur MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat regarding complaints about cross-state treatment access.
