Family Accuses Husband and Brother-in-Law
A 34-year-old woman doctor, Priyanka, was allegedly stabbed to death in Vishnu Colony, Ballabhgarh, Faridabad. Her family has accused her husband, Lakshmichand, and her sister’s husband, Bhagat Singh, of the murder.
Body Found in Clinic Room After 10 Hours
Priyanka, a mother of two children aged 10 and 14, was found dead in a room above her clinic nearly 10 hours after the crime. Shocked family members discovered her bloodied body and immediately informed the police. Forensic teams and police arrived at the scene and sent the body for autopsy.
“Whether One Murder or Two, Punishment is the Same,” Husband Allegedly Threatened
Priyanka’s sister, Pooja, revealed that she had been living separately from her husband for the past four years. She alleged that Lakshmichand used to threaten Priyanka, saying, “Whether one murder or two, the punishment remains the same.”
Murder Allegedly Planned in Advance
The family claimed the murder was premeditated. A day before the incident, Priyanka’s mother-in-law and brother-in-law allegedly forcefully took away her children and even assaulted her. A complaint was lodged at the police station, but no action was taken, they said.
Ignored Police Complaints and Unanswered Calls
Pooja further stated that Priyanka had been receiving death threats, which were reported to Adarsh Nagar police station. The last conversation with Priyanka was at 11 AM, after which her phone was switched off. Worried, the family sought help from acquaintances at the Sector-12 court and later informed the police. The Dial 112 police team visited the clinic but left without checking the upstairs room. When the family checked at 9 PM, they found Priyanka lying in a pool of blood near her bed.
Victim Had Been Living Separately Due to Family Disputes
Priyanka was married in 2010 in Bhiduki village, Hodal. Due to ongoing disputes, she had been running a clinic in Ballabhgarh and living in a rented house for the past four years. Her husband, Lakshmichand, works as a truck driver, while her brother-in-law, Bhagat Singh, is a Dial 112 team driver.
Police Suspect Family Dispute, Probe Underway
Adarsh Nagar police station SHO Hari Kishan stated, “The exact time of the murder will be confirmed through the post-mortem report. Statements of family members have been recorded, and a search is underway for the accused.”
He added that while the murder appears to be linked to a family dispute, the possibility of a larger conspiracy is being investigated.
Murder in Broad Daylight, Locals Unaware
Despite many shops near the clinic, locals claimed they had no idea about the murder, which occurred in broad daylight. Following the incident, police have increased security in the area.
