Mohali: Police have booked Sunil Kumar Aggarwal, co-owner of Cheema Hospital, Phase 4, along with his wife and son, on charges of theft and criminal conspiracy. The action follows a complaint filed by Anusandeep Burmi, Aggarwal’s business partner, on March 22.
Allegations of Theft and Unauthorized Replacement
According to Burmi, in November 2024, Aggarwal dismantled the hospital’s CT scan machine and sent parts worth lakhs of rupees for repair. However, instead of restoring the original machine, Aggarwal allegedly installed a different CT scan machine at the hospital without Burmi’s consent.

- Section 324(4) – Mischief causing damage between ₹20,000 and ₹1 lakh
- Section 305 – Theft in specific contexts, such as dwelling houses
- Section 61(2) – Criminal conspiracy
