New Delhi: Majeedia Unani Hospital, a part of Jamia Hamdard, has achieved a significant milestone by securing accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH). This recognition places it among the few Unani healthcare institutions in India to meet rigorous national healthcare standards.

The NABH certification ensures that the hospital follows high-quality patient care, hygiene, and ethical medical practices, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in AYUSH-based treatments.

Accreditation Awarded During Unani Day Event

The NABH certificate was formally presented during the Unani Day Celebrations 2025 and International Conference held on February 13, 2025, at Jamia Hamdard. The event was attended by:

  • Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard
  • Prof. Asim Ali Khan, Chief Medical Superintendent, Majeedia Unani Hospital
  • Dr. Atul Mohan Kochhar, CEO, NABH, who officially handed over the accreditation.

Prof. Asim Ali Khan emphasized that this accreditation reflects the hospital’s dedication to high-quality AYUSH treatments and expanding patient access through collaborations with various organizations.
