Indore : Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla and State Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya on Friday conducted a review of the soon-to-be-completed Civil Hospital in Nandanagar. The Rs 10 crore project, which is now in its final stages, is expected to be completed by the last week of May and inaugurated in June.
According to Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) B.S. Saitya, the hospital is being constructed as a five-storey, 50-bed facility equipped with state-of-the-art medical infrastructure for surgeries, deliveries, and general care.
High Standards and Legacy Focus
During his inspection, Shukla directed officials to ensure timely completion of equipment installation and all final works without compromising on quality. “The hospital will stand as a symbol of excellent healthcare for the area, and it must reflect the highest standards in both construction and facilities,” he stated.
He also reminisced about the hospital’s strong legacy in the mill area as a prominent maternity hospital, adding that the current redevelopment pays tribute to that history.
Naming Tribute
In a notable gesture, officials announced that the hospital will be named after the mother of Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, honouring her legacy and the family’s longstanding contribution to the community.
Public Impact
The new Civil Hospital is expected to significantly enhance public healthcare access in the Nandanagar area and surrounding localities, offering modern medical services to thousands of residents. Once inaugurated, it will serve as a major boost to the city’s healthcare infrastructure.
