Calls for Intervention Over Extended Delays Impacting Foreign Medical Graduates

Jaipur: The All FMGs Association has raised concerns over significant delays in the internship counselling process for foreign medical graduates (FMGs) in Rajasthan, urging the Rajasthan Medical Council to expedite the process. Despite five months passing since the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), the official notice for internship counselling has yet to be issued.

Frustration Over Administrative Delays

In a statement on social media, the association criticized the Rajasthan Medical Council, expressing disappointment over the lack of transparency and the inaction of the newly appointed registrar. The association called for senior authorities to intervene, hoping to prevent further setbacks for FMGs who are eager to begin their careers.

Partial Progress Without Official Notice

While the council recently released a merit list for the May 2024 session, listing essential applicant details, the internship notice remains absent from the council’s website. The FMG Association of Rajasthan has reiterated its call for prompt action, emphasizing the need for a timely resolution to support the career progression of young medical graduates.
