TIRUPATI: Dr. Guduru Jagadish, a prominent orthopaedic surgeon, officially assumed charge on Thursday as the Director of the Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research, and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) hospital, operated by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). His appointment marks the end of a prolonged phase during which the hospital functioned without a full-time director, impacting healthcare delivery.

The appointment was made by the Andhra Pradesh state government, with the TTD management subsequently issuing orders confirming Dr. Jagadish’s posting.

Upon taking charge, Dr. Jagadish assured that he would work diligently to enhance the hospital’s services in alignment with the visions of the state government and TTD. He expressed determination to expand medical services and raise the institution’s profile on both national and international platforms.
