NEW DELHI — On March 30, 2026, a significant agreement was inked between Prof. Vaidya Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General of CCRAS, and Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar, CEO of Anuvadini AI, to revolutionize how Ayurvedic research reaches the common citizen. By leveraging the AI-powered translation capabilities of the Anuvadini platform, the initiative aims to dismantle the English-only barrier that often restricts scientific knowledge.
Key Objectives of the Collaboration:
- Broad Linguistic Reach: Research outputs, including the CCRAS Bulletin and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, will be available in 13 regional languages, including Hindi, for the first time.
- Curbing Misinformation: By providing authentic, research-backed data in native tongues, the council aims to reduce health-related misinformation often found on social media.
- Social Empowerment: Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar emphasized that the platform was designed to make knowledge “equitable and socially empowering”.
- Global Expansion: While the immediate focus is domestic, future plans include extending translations to foreign languages to support international Ayush Chairs.
Technological Integration
The Anuvadini AI tool, developed under the Ministry of Education, uses a “Human-in-the-Loop” model to ensure that complex medical and scientific terms are translated with high accuracy. With CCRAS’s network of 30 institutes across 25 states, this digital transformation will ensure that evidence-based traditional medicine is no longer a privilege of the English-literate but a resource for every Indian household.
Under the partnership between the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) and Anuvadini AI, evidence-based Ayurveda research will be translated into 13 Indian languages.
