Incident Uncovered at Government Medical College Hospital, Kottayam
Kottayam (Kerala): A male trainee nurse was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly placing a hidden camera inside the changing room used by nurses and staff at the Government Medical College Hospital in Kottayam, police said.
The accused, Anson Joseph (24), a resident of South Charalel, Manjoor, had recently joined the hospital for training after completing his BSc in Nursing.
How the Crime Was Discovered
The incident came to light when a staff member found a switched-on mobile phone inside the changing room. Upon checking, it was revealed that the phone had been placed there to record videos.
The staff member, who entered the room after Anson, noticed the phone in recording mode and immediately alerted the hospital authorities. The matter was then reported to Gandhinagar police, leading to Anson’s arrest.
Police are investigating whether any footage was recorded or shared.
