Hyderabad: The Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) has taken strict action against eight fake doctors operating in Hyderabad. According to TGMC Vice Chairman D G Srinivas, officials conducted inspections last month and identified these individuals practicing medicine without proper qualifications. Cases have been registered under Sections 34 and 54 of the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act.

Illegal Medical Practice Uncovered
During the inspections, authorities found that the fake doctors were running clinics under misleading names such as RMP (Registered Medical Practitioner) and PMP (Private Medical Practitioner). They were prescribing antibiotics and steroids without medical necessity, putting innocent patients at risk. Officials gathered sufficient evidence before filing cases.

  1. Nawabpet Police Station:
    • Sri Sai Clinic – Run by Dr. Ramesh
    • Sri Ambika Hospital – Run by K. Sreedhar
  2. Kukatpally Police Station:
    • Sri Venkateswara Clinic, Indira Nagar – Run by L.V.R. Reddy
  3. Malkajgiri Police Station:
    • Sharani First Aid Centre, Hanuman Nagar – Run by Bisa Venkateswarlu
    • Sri Krupa First Aid Centre, Moulali – Run by G. Bhagya Rekha
  4. Neredmet Police Station:
    • DSR Health Care Poly Clinic & Diagnostic Center, AS Rao Nagar – Run by Srikanth
    • Assam Plus Clinic Counselling Centre, Hanuman Nagar, Hakimpet – Run by Mohammad Azam Hussain and Mohammad Ashfaq Hussain
  5. Saroornagar Police Station:
    • Sri Maruti Clinic, Champapet – Run by Srinivasa Chari
    • Sai Akshita and Akshaya Clinic, Champapet – Run by Bhartan Rashid
    • Sai Chaitanya First Aid Centre, Srinivasa Nagar Colony – Run by D. Rambabu

Strict Action Against Unqualified Practitioners

The TGMC has vowed to take legal action against all unlicensed practitioners who put patients’ lives at risk. The council is urging citizens to verify doctors’ credentials before seeking treatment and to report any suspicious medical practices.

Further investigations are ongoing, and authorities have assured that stringent action will be taken against all individuals involved in illegal medical activities.
