Supreme Court dismisses petition against NMC’s decision not to hold NEET-SS exam this year

New Delhi: The Supreme Court bench of CJI D Y Chandrachud and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra dismissed the petition challenging the National Medical Commission’s (NMC) decision not to hold NEET-SS exam this year and termed the NMC decision “fairly equitable”. The petition was filed by Dr. Rahul Balwan and 13 doctors pleading Supreme Court to direct NMC to hold NEET-SS exam this year. The bench accepted the defense of NMC and refused to tinker with the exam calendar of NEET-SS as proposed by the NMC.
