New Delhi: Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has denied claims that Dr Pooja Khedkar, the Probationary Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer who recently came under the spotlight for allegedly abusing her current position, was working as an endocrinologist at the hospital. In a recent press release, the hospital’s Medical Director, Dr. (Brig) Satendra Katoch, referred to media reports and social media posts that claimed that Dr. Khedkar worked at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. He clarified that such claims were False. The Press release of Dr. Katoch said” “There are reports appearing in news portals / freelancer reports/social media/LinkedIn profiles that one Dr Pooja aka Dr Pooja Khedkar has been working as an endocrinologist at Gangaram Hospital in Delhi. This is to clarify that no doctor by the name of Dr. Pooja Khedkar or Dr. Pooja Khedkar has ever trained or worked in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi as an endocrinologist or in any other capacity. Any claims to this effect are false.”

Dr. Pooja Khedkar is an IAS trainee of the 2022 batch of Maharashtra Cadre. She would have secured rank 821 (Pwd-5) in the UPSC examinations. Before appearing for the IAS examination conducted by UPSC, she completed her MBBS and registered herself with the Maharashtra Medical Council in 2013. According to her official records, she has been registered with MMC as an MBBS practitioner since 2013. According to the medical council records, her registration was valid till March 26, 2023 and has not been updated since then. Her LinkedIn profile, which has now been deleted, showed that she had worked as an endocrinologist at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi, media reports had said earlier.
