Malouli: A 24-year-old pharmacist, Satyendra Vishwakarma, was brutally murdered in Malouli village after being attacked with sticks and rods by three assailants. Police reports indicate that the attack occurred around midnight when Vishwakarma, who was asleep in his clinic, was woken by the attackers, who arrived on a motorcycle.
The assailants pretended to be customers seeking medication and knocked on the clinic door. Upon opening it, Vishwakarma was ambushed. The victim attempted to flee but was chased down and severely beaten. A local resident, Vivek Chandra Nag, who tried to intervene, was also assaulted. Neighbors, alarmed by the commotion, rushed to the clinic, forcing the assailants to flee the scene.
Vishwakarma, critically injured, was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead. Police have confirmed that the victim, originally from Dadia Mau village, had been running the clinic after completing a pharmacy course.
The victim’s mother, Gangotri Devi, accused four individuals—Santlal, Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, and Lal Bahadur—of being involved in the murder. She claimed the killing was a result of an ongoing dispute over land and tree-cutting between her son and the accused.
A case has been registered by the police based on a complaint filed by Vishwakarma’s father, Ganga Prasad. Police are currently investigating the matter, questioning several individuals, and examining CCTV footage from the clinic in hopes of apprehending the suspects soon.
