Vadodara-based facility sets benchmark in integrated stroke care and rehabilitation
Vadodara, Gujarat – Parul Sevashram Hospital (PSH), affiliated with Parul University, has become the first hospital in Gujarat to receive the prestigious NABH Stroke Certification, marking a major milestone in the state’s healthcare landscape. The certification is a testament to the hospital’s adherence to nationally recognised protocols and structured standards in stroke care and rehabilitation.
The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) granted the certification after rigorous evaluation, highlighting PSH’s compliance with safety norms, clinical protocols, and patient-centred practices essential for effective stroke management.
Comprehensive Stroke Care Under One Roof
Situated in Vadodara, PSH has developed a dedicated stroke care unit that provides holistic rehabilitation services, including neurophysician consultations, neuro-physiotherapy, occupational therapy, yoga, and Panchkarma treatments—all integrated under a single roof.
Previously, stroke patients often had to visit multiple facilities for comprehensive treatment. With this model, PSH has enabled seamless, multidisciplinary care, significantly improving the patient experience and outcomes.
Over 1,000 Stroke Cases Treated
Since its inception, the hospital has successfully managed more than 1,000 stroke cases, with many patients benefitting under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). Ayushman Cardholders are eligible for treatment at the stroke care centre, which has drawn patients not just from Gujarat but also from other states and overseas.
Enhanced Capabilities Through NABH Accreditation
Though the hospital has long offered stroke care services, the NABH certification now provides external validation of its systems, confirming that PSH meets essential standards of emergency response, medical safety, and skilled staffing for stroke treatment.
“This accreditation boosts our confidence and commitment to delivering evidence-based care to stroke patients while ensuring the highest safety and quality standards,” the hospital said in a statement.
With this recognition, Parul Sevashram Hospital is now poised to serve as a model stroke care centre in the region, combining clinical excellence with patient-centric rehabilitation.
