New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) is set to launch an online portal for Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) candidates to apply for eligibility certificates. The FMGE screening test, conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), is tentatively scheduled for July 2025.
Mandatory Eligibility Certificate for FMGE 2025
As per the official notice, candidates who wish to appear for FMGE 2025 must obtain an eligibility certificate issued by NMC. Those who have not yet received it must apply through the official NMC website between March 10, 2025 (09:30 AM) and April 9, 2025 (06:00 PM).
NMC has clarified that this will be the final opportunity to apply for an eligibility certificate, and no further applications will be accepted after the deadline. Candidates are advised to carefully verify their details before submission.
Guidelines to Avoid Application Errors
To ensure smooth application processing, candidates should follow these steps:
- Apply Personally: Candidates should fill out the application themselves rather than relying on proxies.
- Keep Documents Ready: Ensure all necessary documents are available before starting the application to prevent errors.
- Provide an Active Mobile Number: This will help candidates receive alerts regarding application deficiencies for timely corrections.
- Verify Entries Before Submission: Details should match the original documents to ensure quick processing.
Checking Application Status
Candidates can check the status of their eligibility certificate applications on the official NMC website. While making inquiries, they must provide their File Tracking Number generated during submission. NMC has stated that queries without this number will not receive a response.
