New Delhi: The Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced an additional opportunity for candidates to apply for Eligibility Certificates. The application window will remain open from 18th November 2024 (11:00 AM) to 25th November 2024 (6:00 PM).

This decision follows representations from candidates who were unable to submit their applications before the previous deadline of 4th November 2024, citing technical difficulties.

Application Details

Candidates can apply for Eligibility Certificates via the National Medical Commission’s website. The NMC has advised applicants to submit their applications promptly rather than waiting until the last date.

Obtaining an Eligibility Certificate is essential for MBBS graduates from abroad to appear in the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), a mandatory screening test for registration as a medical practitioner in India.

Previously, NMC had issued a notice on 10th September 2024, opening the application window for Eligibility Certificates from 5th September 2024 to 4th November 2024.

The NMC highlighted that processing Eligibility Certificates requires extensive checks to ensure compliance with regulations. Applicants are advised to:

  • Fill out application forms carefully.
  • Monitor email notifications and the online portal for updates.
