New Delhi: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has reduced the qualifying cut-off percentile for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024. This move aims to ensure a higher number of seats are filled during the upcoming MDS counselling process. According to the revised cut-off, the qualifying percentile for the General category has been lowered from 50 to 28.308. Similarly, the cut-off for SC, ST, and OBC categories has been reduced from 40 to 18.308. The UR-PWD category has also seen a drop in the cut-off from 45 to 23.308.

This adjustment is in line with the Dental Council of India’s regulations and is expected to address the issue of vacant seats in MDS programs across the country. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has been instructed to release the revised results, and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will take necessary actions based on the new cut-offs. Candidates who appeared for the NEET MDS 2024 examination on March 18, 2024, are advised to keep an eye on the official MCC website for updates on the revised results, cut-off details, and counselling schedules.
