Sixth edition of AIDFIGT brings together dental professionals from across India for networking, recreation and professional bonding
Manesar: The sixth edition of the All India Dental Fraternity Invitational Golf Tournament (AIDFIGT) was successfully held at the prestigious ITC Classic Golf and Country Club on May 21, 2026, bringing together dental professionals, academicians and senior practitioners from across the country for a day focused on sportsmanship, wellness and professional engagement.
The annual event, which has emerged as a prominent gathering within the dental fraternity, witnessed enthusiastic participation from dentists representing multiple states. The tournament provided a unique platform for healthcare professionals to interact beyond academic and clinical environments while encouraging recreation, networking and stronger professional relationships.
Tournament Founded During Covid-19 Pandemic
The initiative was launched in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic by Dr Anil Kohli and Dr Sunil Ghanta in Rajahmundry with the aim of promoting positivity, wellness and unity among dental professionals through sports and recreational activities.
Organisers said the concept was introduced at a time when healthcare workers were dealing with unprecedented stress and demanding working conditions during the pandemic. Over the years, the tournament has evolved into a national-level event that combines professional interaction with physical fitness and leisure.
Previous editions of the tournament were organised in Srinagar, Jaipur, Mumbai and Jammu.
Dr Anil Kohli Highlights Importance of Wellness and Unity
Padma Bhushan awardee Dr Anil Kohli, founder of the association and chairman of the tournament, attended the event along with several senior dental professionals. A former President of the Dental Council of India, Dr Kohli is also a recipient of the Padma Shri and Dr B.C. Roy Award for his contributions to dentistry and healthcare in India.
Addressing participants during the programme, Dr Kohli shared insights from his long professional journey and stressed the importance of unity, wellness and continuous learning within the healthcare sector.
The event was inaugurated by Anil Rajput, President of Corporate Affairs at ITC Limited.
Professional Golfers and Dental Leaders Participate
Professional golfers Neha Tripathi and Sachin Baisoya also attended the tournament and interacted with participants during the programme.
Dr Archit Tiwari served as the organising secretary and coordinated arrangements for the event.
Dr Ritesh Gupta emerged as the overall winner of the tournament. Among the women participants, Anita Rajput, Ravindra Kaur, Sushma Kohli and Dr Anjali Dave Tiwari were felicitated for their performances and active participation.

The tournament received support from several organisations including Mankind Pharma, Campus Activewear, Hero Cycles, Infomerics Ratings, MM Auto, DentaKart, Smile Works Lab and the Indian Golf Premier League.
