According to officials, the Bhubaneswar Fire Station was alerted immediately after the fire broke out. Firefighters rushed to the scene and launched emergency operations to control the flames. As the situation intensified, additional support was sought from nearby fire stations, including Tamando Fire Station, SFF CR personnel, and the in-house fire safety unit of AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

Emergency Response Prevents Major Disaster

Firefighting teams worked in coordination for several hours to bring the situation under control. The swift response enabled the safe evacuation of students, faculty members, and other individuals present inside the building at the time of the incident.

Officials stated that no injuries or fatalities were reported, and the timely intervention of emergency responders helped prevent a potentially major disaster at one of Odisha’s leading healthcare and educational institutions.

Property Damage Reported, Investigation Underway

Preliminary reports indicate that furniture and other laboratory equipment were damaged in the fire. However, AIIMS Bhubaneswar administration has stated that no major structural damage has been reported so far.
