Rising patient trust and minimally invasive techniques drive growth in AYUSH-based treatments

The Mahayogi Gorakhnath AYUSH University has marked a major achievement by successfully completing 100 surgeries within just six months of its operation theatre becoming functional, signaling steady progress in Ayurvedic surgical practices.

Growing Trust in Ayurvedic Surgical Techniques

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ramchandra Reddy congratulated the medical team for their dedication, stating that Ayurvedic surgical procedures—rooted in safe and natural methods—have helped nearly 100 patients recover from various health conditions.

He highlighted that increasing awareness and trust in Ayurveda-based treatments have contributed to a steady rise in patient footfall. According to him, these procedures are largely minimally invasive and focus on natural healing, resulting in faster recovery and reliable outcomes.

Wide Range of Successful Procedures

Surgical specialist Dr. Manoj Chaurasia shared that the facility has successfully conducted surgeries for multiple conditions, including fibroadenoma, fissure, fistula, and cysts, all yielding positive results.

He also pointed to the growing adoption of Agnikarma therapy, a specialized Ayurvedic procedure used effectively in treating warts and similar conditions. The success, he noted, is a result of coordinated efforts by the entire medical team, including Neerja Jain and staff nurse Kshama Shukla.

From Weekly to Daily Surgeries

The operation theatre, inaugurated on October 15, 2023, began its journey with three surgeries on the very first day. Initially, procedures were conducted once a week, but with rising demand and improved infrastructure, the university has now scaled up operations.

At present, surgeries are performed daily based on patient needs, reflecting growing confidence in the institution’s capabilities and services.

A Step Forward for AYUSH Healthcare

This milestone underscores the expanding role of Ayurveda in modern healthcare, particularly in surgical care. With consistent results and increasing acceptance, the university is expected to further enhance its services and benefit a larger number of patients in the coming months.
