Gwalior: A 25-year-old junior doctor has accused her colleague of raping her in an abandoned boys’ hostel on the premises of Gajraraja Medical College in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

Incident Details:

The alleged assault occurred on Sunday in an old, unused boys’ hostel at the government-run medical college. The victim, who was staying in the girls’ hostel to prepare for an exam, was allegedly called to the abandoned facility by the accused, also a junior doctor and her former classmate. According to the police, the accused threatened and subsequently assaulted the victim.

Police Action:

The survivor lodged a complaint at the Kampu police station. Following the complaint, the accused, also aged 25, was arrested. City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Ashok Jadon confirmed that a case has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing.

This incident highlights the need for enhanced security measures in educational and residential premises to ensure the safety of students and professionals, especially in vulnerable situations.
