The project was recognized for its innovative use of technology to provide,,citizen-centric healthcare services, focusing on mental health and substance abuse support.
Empowering Frontline Workers via Task-Shifting
The ICMR-MINDS tool uses an AI-enabled Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) to assist frontline workers.
- The Specialty Gap: The platform addresses the shortage of psychiatrists by enabling non-specialist health workers to deliver standardized care.
- Task-Shifting: It supports trained staff, such as nurses and ASHA workers, in managing, screening, and offering,follow-ups for,patients.
Designed for Grassroots Realities
The system is designed for,operational efficiency, including offline, functionality, ensuring its use in,remote areas. The platform features,multilingual support and includes,gamified modules.
A Seven-State Inter-Institutional Network
The award was presented to represent the,collaborative work of a multi-institutional network, covering seven states across India, including AIIMS and other premier,institutes, notes India Med Today.
