Illegal Clinic Shut Down by Telangana Ayush Department
Hyderabad – The Telangana Ayush Department has taken strict action against MS Ataullah Ayurvedic and Unani Private Limited in Jalpally, Hyderabad, for violating drug regulations. The clinic was found operating without a valid medical degree or regulatory approvals and was selling unlicensed Ayurvedic medicines.
Raid and Seizure
After multiple complaints, Ayush Department officials conducted an inspection on February 14, uncovering several medicines without proper labeling or licenses. A subsequent raid on February 22 led to the seizure of the clinic and its properties under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act for illegal manufacturing and distribution of Ayurvedic medicines.
Social Media Complaints and Investigation
Authorities initiated the investigation following viral social media videos featuring “Dr. Ataullah,” which raised suspicions. During the raid, officials collected drug samples and sent them for laboratory testing. It was confirmed that the medicines were manufactured without proper authorization, misleading the public about their safety and effectiveness.
Further Legal Action Expected
Officials confirmed that the accused does not hold a valid medical degree, raising serious public health concerns. Legal action will be determined based on lab test results.
