Bhopal: Government doctors across Madhya Pradesh staged a protest by wearing black armbands to highlight their long-standing unmet demands. The demonstration, organized under the MP Chikitsak Mahasangh, reportedly has the backing of around 15,000 government doctors across the state.
MP Chikitsak Mahasangh chief convenor, Rakesh Malviya, stated, “Despite repeated appeals to the government, our concerns remain unaddressed, forcing us to take this step.”
Key Demands
The protesting doctors raised several issues affecting their profession, including:
- Proper implementation of Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) and Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA), as approved by the Cabinet.
- Full benefits of the 7th Pay Commission, effective from January 1, 2016.
- Formation of a high-level committee, as directed by the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
- Strict implementation of safety guidelines recommended by the Supreme Court’s National Task Force.
- Reduction of administrative interference in medical practices.

The doctors have warned of intensified protests if their demands continue to be ignored.
