Automated health check-up systems to deliver 60+ tests in just 20 minutes

Gorakhpur: Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University is set to install two Health ATMs on its campus, marking a major step towards modernising its diagnostic infrastructure and improving patient convenience.

According to officials, the initiative aims to ease the burden on existing laboratory services while offering faster, automated health check-ups to patients.

Fast, Multi-Parameter Testing in Minutes

The upcoming Health ATMs will be capable of conducting over 60 diagnostic tests in a single session. These include key health indicators such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, ECG, oxygen saturation, body mass index (BMI), body temperature, and pulse rate.

The system is designed to complete the entire testing process within approximately 20 minutes, providing a quick and efficient alternative to traditional lab-based diagnostics.

Digital Reports via WhatsApp

One of the standout features of the Health ATMs will be the digital delivery of reports. Patients will receive their test results directly on WhatsApp, eliminating the need for physical reports and significantly reducing waiting time.

Officials believe this will streamline outpatient services and improve overall patient flow within the campus healthcare system.

Expansion of Diagnostic Facilities Underway

The university already operates a modern pathology diagnostic centre equipped with advanced medical technology. In addition to Health ATMs, plans are in place to introduce HbA1c testing facilities soon, which will help diabetic patients monitor their average blood sugar levels over a three-month period.

Currently, such tests are largely dependent on external laboratories.

New Equipment and Staff Recruitment in Progress

Further strengthening its healthcare infrastructure, the university is also in the process of procuring ultrasound and X-ray machines. Recruitment for technical and support staff has already begun to ensure smooth operation of these upcoming services.

These developments are expected to be implemented after receiving final approval from the state government.

خطوة Towards Smart Healthcare Delivery

Authorities stated that the introduction of Health ATMs and additional diagnostic services will reduce dependency on outside labs, enhance efficiency, and provide faster, more accessible healthcare services under one roof—bringing the university closer to a digitally enabled, patient-centric healthcare model.
