Unqualified Individuals Caught Illegally Treating Patients
Hyderabad: A recent inspection by the Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) in the Chengicherla area of Uppal has uncovered serious regulatory violations, including fake doctors practicing illegally and registered doctors failing to comply with medical norms.
Hospital Administrator Posed as Doctor, Treated Patients
At Bhavishya Well Wishers Hospital, officials found that while the facility was originally registered under Dr. Gautami with the District Medical and Health Office (DMHO) in June 2023, she left soon after to pursue postgraduate studies at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS).
In her absence, hospital administrator A. Ramesh falsely assumed the role of a doctor, installing signage for multiple medical departments like general surgery and general medicine and treating patients without any qualified medical professionals.
Further Action Expected
A TGMC representative confirmed that legal action would be taken against individuals involved in fraudulent medical practice. Authorities are now expanding investigations into other hospitals and clinics in the region to identify similar violations.
