Prayagraj: Advanced preparations are underway for the Mahakumbh to host an estimated 45 crore devotees from India and abroad. Among the innovative measures, the Uttar Pradesh government is set to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Intensive Care Units (ICUs), aiming to elevate healthcare standards during the event, officials announced.
For the first time, an AI Messaging Flow System will be deployed within the fairgrounds. This cutting-edge technology will enable seamless communication by interpreting and relaying patient concerns in 22 regional and 19 international languages, bridging language barriers and enhancing patient care.
Key Features of AI-Enabled Healthcare
- Real-Time Monitoring and Alerts:
- AI-enabled cameras in the ICU will continuously monitor patient conditions.
- In case of a critical health deterioration, the system will instantly alert the medical team for immediate intervention.
- Advanced Translation Capabilities:
- Special AI-enabled microphones will facilitate communication between patients and doctors, translating multiple languages into Hindi or English.
- Telemedicine Integration:
- Telemedicine facilities will connect ICU patients with specialists from Medanta Hospital for remote consultations, ensuring expert guidance for timely and effective treatment.
Comprehensive Healthcare Infrastructure
- A 100-bed Central Hospital and ten additional hospitals in areas like Jhusi and Arail are being established to ensure wide-ranging healthcare coverage.
- A 10-bed ICU equipped with state-of-the-art AI technology will be operational at the Central Hospital in Mahakumbh Nagar.
- Senior specialists will oversee AI systems, ensuring prompt response to emergencies.
