Recruitment drive attracts over 3,200 applicants; AIIMS says appointments will strengthen patient care, medical education and research
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has announced the results of its recruitment drive for more than 460 faculty positions, ranging from Assistant Professors to Professors, across over 50 medical specialties at AIIMS New Delhi and the AIIMS-Central Armed Police Forces Institute of Medical Sciences (CAPFIMS) campus in Maidan Garhi, New Delhi.
The large-scale recruitment process received more than 3,200 applications, including candidates competing for 265 faculty posts at AIIMS New Delhi and 199 posts at the AIIMS-CAPFIMS campus. Conducted over a period of six months, the selection process incorporated blockchain-based digital technology to ensure confidentiality, transparency and fairness.
According to an official statement, candidates’ marks were digitally secured using one-time passwords (OTPs), while the final merit list was generated automatically through pre-defined algorithms. AIIMS stated that there was no human intervention in the preparation of the merit list, except in cases where tie-breaking was required. The technology-driven process also enabled the institute to declare the final results swiftly.
Describing it as one of the largest faculty recruitment drives in recent years, AIIMS said the appointments would significantly strengthen its academic and healthcare ecosystem by improving faculty availability. The institute expects the recruitment to enhance patient care, medical education and research at both AIIMS New Delhi and the AIIMS-CAPFIMS campus.
AIIMS Introduces Social Media Guidelines
Separately, AIIMS New Delhi recently issued comprehensive social media guidelines for students, resident doctors, faculty members and employees. The guidelines prohibit the unauthorised use of the institute’s name, logo and official branding across digital and print platforms.
The new rules, which came into immediate effect after approval from the competent authority, apply to undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and super-speciality students, recognised student associations, faculty members, researchers, administrative staff, institutional departments and third-party collaborators associated with AIIMS.
AIIMS Patna to Support Amarnath Yatra
