Relatives Demand Accountability Over Sudden Deterioration
Belagavi: A 19-year-old woman, Keerti Nesargi, from Tummurguddi, died at Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences District Hospital on Thursday night, just days after giving birth via caesarean section.
According to sources, Keerti had been admitted for delivery over a week ago and underwent a C-section on Tuesday. However, her condition worsened due to excessive bleeding post-surgery. She lost consciousness and was moved to the ICU, where she succumbed to blood loss.
Family Accuses Doctors of Negligence
Her family has alleged medical negligence, claiming that doctors failed to inform them about her deteriorating condition.
“We were not updated about her health when she was admitted. By the time we knew something was wrong, it was too late,” said a grieving relative.
The incident has sparked outrage among the family and locals, with calls for a thorough investigation into the hospital’s handling of the case.
