Vijayawada: A two-year-old boy, Sk. Basheer, was allegedly kidnapped by an unidentified woman from Old Government General Hospital (GGH) on Thursday.
Incident Summary
Shaik Fatima, the boy’s mother, was at the hospital for the treatment of her fourth child when the accused befriended the family and took the boy under the pretext of giving him biscuits. The woman fled with the child around 6 p.m., prompting Fatima to file a police complaint.
Investigation Underway
Special teams, formed under the direction of Police Commissioner S.V. Rajashekar Babu, are scanning CCTV footage from the hospital to locate the child.
