Lucknow : The increase in number of patients of communicable disease like dengue, malaria and chikungunya has prompted the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to issue instructions to the health ministry officials to appoint nodal officers for every hospital. While chairing a meeting to review the measures to control the spreading of communicable disease the CM directed that nodal officers be appointed who should conduct regular inspection of the hospitals which will ensure timely detection and containment of these communicable disease. The CM further added that the private hospitals should convey the information of the patients having these diseasesto the government so that the government can take necessary steps to create awareness and respond appropriately to the situation.

Yogi emphasized the need of having adequate medicines in the PHCs and CHCs to contain these diseases. He warned the healthcare workers to be regular and said that any attempt to disrupt the healthcare system will not be tolerated.
