Bhagalpur : Nirmal Choubey, brother of Union Minister Ashwin Choubey, died at the Mayaganj Hospital in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district. Two doctors attached to the ICU were suspended after the relatives accused them of not being present in the ICU for providing treatment to Nirmal Choubey. Dr. Asim Kr Das, the hospital superintendent said that Nirmal was brought in a critical condition and was diagnosed that he had suffered massive heart attack. According to Das, a senior doctor administered the required medicine and the patient was shifted to the ICU but there was no doctor to attend him.
On the other hand the Deputy Superintendent of police of Bhagalpur, Ajay Kumar Chaudhary said that they were conducting investigation into the matter. He said that “ We will take action against anyone who was negligent. Action will be taken against the patient relatives also, if they created a ruckus causing the doctors to flee”.
