Siddipet: In a tragic incident, a female house surgeon from the 2020 batch at the Government General Hospital (GGH), Siddipet, allegedly died by suicide after reportedly injecting herself with 10–15 ml of paraquat, a highly toxic substance.

Stress Linked to Internship and NEET-PG Preparation

According to information circulating on social media, the young doctor was reportedly under severe stress due to the pressure of NEET-PG preparation alongside her internship duties. However, officials have clarified that the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained and is currently under investigation.

Incident During Labour Room Duty

The incident reportedly occurred while the doctor was on Labour Room (LR) duty on Friday. After feeling unwell, she initially received treatment at the hospital’s casualty department. On Saturday morning, it was reported that she had allegedly administered the injection herself.
