Mumbai: Panic struck a doctor couple from Tardeo after their 15-year-old son went missing on Sunday evening. The incident prompted police to register a kidnapping case and launch an immediate search, before the teenager returned home safely the next morning.
Complaint Filed at Tardeo Police Station
According to officials, the boy’s father, a 49-year-old medical officer at a civic-run hospital in south Mumbai, filed a missing complaint on Sunday evening. The couple grew anxious after their son failed to return home despite assuring them that he was stepping out briefly for a stroll.
Parents’ Overnight Search
The Class 9 student had left his Tardeo residence in the afternoon, but when he did not return till late night, his parents searched nearby areas, including Mahalaxmi Railway Station, the Race Course, and several bus stops. With no sign of him, they feared he might have been abducted.
Kidnapping Case Registered
Based on the parents’ complaint, the Tardeo police registered a kidnapping case against an unidentified person and launched a search for the teenager. The situation caused considerable distress for the family, who spent the night anxiously waiting for updates.
Relief for the Family
The tense wait ended on Monday morning when the boy walked back home on his own. He informed his family that he had gone to the seafront and had been wandering around nearby areas before returning. His safe arrival brought huge relief to the distressed parents.
