Palakkad: A Kerala court has issued a bailable warrant for Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna, managing director of Patanjali Ayurved, for failing to appear in a case related to misleading advertisements. The case, registered under the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act 1954, was filed by the Drugs Inspector of Palakkad.

Despite assurances from Patanjali in November to halt misleading ads, the practice continued, leading to the Supreme Court’s contempt notice against the company. The next hearing is scheduled for February 1.
