Chennai : AWACS, the pharmaceutical research organization, in its report for August has stated that Indian Pharmaceutical Market (IPM) grew 12.1% in value and 4.8% in volumes in the month of August on back of strong growth across all the therapy in India. The sales figure of IPM for the month of August was Rs.16,239 crores. The fastest growing categories were cardiac which grew at 13%, anti-infectives -13%, gastrointestinal – 12%, Anti-Diabetes and Vitamins grew at 9% each.
