Essential Ayurvedic Medicines Supplied to Strengthen Healthcare Services Across Hamirpur
The Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic Department has launched the second phase of medicine distribution to ayurvedic hospitals and healthcare institutions across Hamirpur district, supplying around 90 types of medicines to strengthen healthcare services and ensure uninterrupted patient care.
According to department officials, the latest consignment includes medicines commonly used for treating fever, cold, cough, stomach-related ailments, and pain management. The initiative is expected to improve the availability of essential medicines at healthcare institutions and support timely treatment for patients.
Second Consignment Follows Earlier Distribution of 102 Medicines
Officials stated that during the first phase, 102 types of medicines were distributed to ayurvedic hospitals and health centres across the district. The current supply is part of the department’s regular stock management strategy aimed at maintaining adequate medicine availability and preventing shortages.
Hamirpur district has more than 70 ayurvedic hospitals and health centres that cater to a large number of patients every day. Medicines are supplied based on institutional requirements, while stock levels are reviewed periodically to ensure smooth healthcare delivery.
Focus on Seasonal Illnesses and Routine Patient Care
The department said the second consignment will enhance preparedness for seasonal diseases and routine outpatient treatment. Regular medicine supplies are being maintained to ensure that commonly prescribed medicines remain accessible at all healthcare facilities.
Officials added that the department continuously monitors medicine consumption patterns and patient requirements to avoid disruptions in healthcare services.
District Ayush Officer Assures Adequate Medicine Availability
District Ayush Officer Ms Tanuja Nagpal said medicines are dispatched to ayurvedic health institutions at regular intervals and sufficient stock is currently available across the district. She emphasized that the department is closely monitoring demand and will ensure that no healthcare institution faces a shortage of essential medicines.
The Ayurvedic Department further stated that future medicine supplies will continue to be planned based on demand, patient load, and consumption trends across Hamirpur’s healthcare institutions, ensuring effective and accessible ayurvedic treatment services for residents.
