Landmark Healthcare Project at Bambolim
Panaji: Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Wednesday announced that the state’s upcoming cancer care hospital in association with Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, is expected to be completed before 2027. Addressing a public meeting at Nagargao village in his Valpoi constituency, Rane said the hospital at Bambolim, Panaji, will be a “landmark in healthcare services in Goa.”
Focus on Healthcare at People’s Doorsteps
Highlighting the government’s efforts to strengthen rural health services, Rane said, “We want to take health care to the doorsteps of the people.” He added that areas like Kodal and Satre will soon have model sub-health centres, and that diagnostic facilities at the doorstep have already been introduced. “Those suffering heart attacks will also get timely treatment,” he said.
Emphasis on Legislation and Social Security
Rane underlined that under Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s leadership, the BJP government has enacted historic legislations to improve the lives of citizens and provide a sense of security. He linked the initiatives to the ideology of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that they are meant to “make a difference in the lives of common people.”
Jobs for Educated Youth
The Health Minister also addressed unemployment concerns, assuring that the government is working to provide job opportunities for educated youth in every constituency. “Today we have educated unemployed youth, and we want to find a way to help them. That can be done only by the BJP government,” he said.
