Massive Blaze Breaks Out at Anand Vihar Hospital
New Delhi: A major fire erupted at Kosmos Hospital in Anand Vihar, East Delhi, on Saturday afternoon, resulting in one fatality and injuring at least 10 others, officials from the Delhi Fire Service confirmed.

Fire Response and Current Status
The fire was reported at 12:12 pm, prompting an immediate response with eight fire tenders dispatched to the scene, according to PTI. The blaze has since been brought under control. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Casualties and Rescue Efforts
Seven of the injured patients were admitted to Kosmos Hospital itself, while three sustained minor injuries. RK Sachdeva, the hospital owner, stated that hospital staff and a cleaning worker managed to rescue several patients. Unfortunately, the cleaning staff member reportedly locked himself in a bathroom and was among the casualties.

Previous Fire Incidents in Medical Facilities
In a related report, We noted a minor fire at the Medical College and Hospital campus in Kolkata last Wednesday. The fire, located near the garbage dump by the Green Building at College Street, was swiftly contained without major injuries.
