Diploma Holder Impersonates Medical Intern
A man with only a diploma in patient care assistance was caught posing as a medical intern at the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak. Identified as Sahad from Nizampur Majra village in Sonepat, he was allegedly impersonating his friend, Krishan Gehlawat, who is pursuing a one-year internship after completing his MBBS from the United Kingdom.
Suspicion Arises During Security Check
Sahad was seen in the OPD ward and trauma centre wearing a white coat with a stethoscope, attending to patients. His behaviour raised doubts among security guards. When asked for an ID card, he failed to produce one. A check of the duty roster confirmed his name was missing, prompting further action.
Video Goes Viral
A video showing Sahad treating patients and later being escorted out by security has gone viral on social media, sparking outrage over lax hospital safety protocols.
Accused Claims He Was Filling In for Friend
During questioning, Sahad claimed that Krishan had asked him to stand in for him. He admitted to holding only a diploma in patient care assistance, not a medical degree.
Police Investigation Underway
Dr. Rohit, PGIMS security in-charge, confirmed that Sahad was handed over to police and will be produced in court. Efforts are also underway to locate and question Krishan.
