Award Presented By NMC Chairman Dr Abhijat Sheth In New Delhi
Dr Kartikeya Kohli, a renowned consultant in internal medicine and nephrology specialist, has been honoured with the prestigious Phoenix Award during HealthAIcon 2026 held at Eros Hotel, New Delhi, on May 17, 2026.
The award was presented by Dr Abhijat Sheth, Chairman of the National Medical Commission (NMC), in recognition of Dr Kohli’s outstanding contribution to clinical medicine, medical education, research, and healthcare awareness.

HealthAIcon 2026 was organised by Medical Dialogues and the National Medical Forum in collaboration with premier healthcare institutions, including the Indian Council of Medical Research, National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, and Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone.
The event witnessed participation from key stakeholders across healthcare delivery, medical research, academia, and policy-making sectors.
Dr Kartikeya Kohli’s Medical Career And Expertise
Currently, Dr Kartikeya Kohli serves as a Consultant in Internal Medicine at Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science and Research and Apollo Clinic Kailash Colony.
Over the years, he has been associated with several leading hospitals in Delhi, including Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj.
Dr Kohli graduated from Kasturba Medical College and later earned a DNB in Internal Medicine and MRCP (UK). He also underwent super-speciality training in nephrology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP-UK) in 2017 and secured ECFMG Certification in 2011.
Significant Contributions To Medical Education And Research
Apart from his clinical work, Dr Kohli has made remarkable contributions to medical academics and professional education. He has independently organised more than 35 Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes and authored over 200 medical articles for healthcare portals and medical bulletins.
He has also actively contributed to professional medical bodies, serving as Asset Secretary and Associate Editor at the Indian Medical Association South Delhi Branch and as an Executive Member of the Delhi Medical Association.
Dr Kohli has additionally been associated with television and digital media platforms for conducting and presenting public health awareness programmes.
Research Achievements In Nephrology And Internal Medicine
Known for his academic and research-oriented approach, Dr Kohli presented the poster titled “One-year Outcome of Sensitized Kidney Transplant: A Single Centre Study” at ISNCON 2017. His research work also includes dissertations and publications in nephrology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, and internal medicine journals.
