A 40-year-old doctor from Basant Avenue has gone missing under mysterious circumstances after leaving his residence for his clinic on June 11, triggering a police investigation and the registration of an FIR against unidentified persons.
Family Raises Alarm After Doctor Fails to Reach Clinic
According to police officials, the doctor left his home in an SUV and was expected to reach his clinic later that day. However, he neither arrived at his workplace nor returned home, causing concern among his family members.
When repeated attempts to contact him failed, the family discovered that his mobile phone had been switched off. After confirming that he had not reached the clinic, they approached the police and filed a missing person complaint.
Wife Suspects Wrongful Confinement
Expressing concern over the unexplained disappearance, the doctor’s wife urged authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.
“I suspect that my husband was kept under wrongful confinement by some unidentified persons, and the police should hold a probe to trace him,” she reportedly told investigators.
Police Investigating All Possible Angles
Police officials described the case as puzzling, noting that there has been no communication from the missing doctor since he left his residence.
Speaking about the investigation, officials said the doctor has not contacted any family member, colleague, or acquaintance since his disappearance.
