Damoh, MP | April 10: Health authorities have sealed the cath lab at Mission Hospital in Damoh, where Narendra Vikramaditya Yadav, posing as UK-based cardiologist Dr. N John Camm, allegedly performed unauthorised heart surgeries that led to the deaths of at least seven patients.
District Health Officer Vikrant Singh Chauhan confirmed the action, stating the angiography and angioplasty procedures linked to the deaths were carried out in the sealed unit. Police say Yadav also forged medical documents to support his credentials.
Victim Jitendra Singh Rajput recalled being told his father had suffered a heart attack and would need immediate surgery. “They said the Ayushman card would cover the cost,” he told media.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav assured strict action and accountability. “Our government is committed to swift justice,” he said, while Minister Prahlad Patel acknowledged the hospital’s “controversial” past, calling for a thorough investigation.
The case has sparked fresh scrutiny into credential checks, hospital hiring practices, and oversight of private and missionary health institutions in Madhya Pradesh.
