Senior Faculty Questioned in UHSR MBBS Exam Scam
Rohtak, Haryana: A senior professor from the non-clinical department of Pandit BD Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR) has been repeatedly summoned for questioning in connection with the ongoing MBBS exam scam.
Centre Superintendent Under Scrutiny
The professor served as centre superintendent at one of the exam centres flagged for serious malpractice. This marks the first instance of a faculty member being directly questioned in the probe.
Faculty Express Concern
The development has triggered anxiety among other faculty members who have previously overseen exams. UHSR officials acknowledged that professors are routinely appointed to such roles, but the police involvement has intensified internal unease.
Professor Confirms Multiple Questionings
The professor stated they have been questioned more than three times on campus.
Details of the Scam
The scam involved smuggling answer sheets off-campus during MBBS exams. Students allegedly rewrote answers and swapped them with original submissions to secure passing marks.
Widening Investigation
In February, police filed FIRs against 41 individuals — 17 UHSR staff and 24 MBBS students from a private college. Three staffers have been arrested and terminated. The investigation is ongoing. ==========
