Thrissur : The police has arrested Dr. Mayoornath a 26-year-old ayurvedic doctor for killing his father by poisoning him and 4 others. Saseendran, father of Dr.Mayoornath had collapsed near the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) and was rushed to the hospital. Saseendran was rushed to the hospital but passed during the treatment. The doctors treating Saseendran initially declared that the death was caused by heart attack but when other members of the family also started developing symptoms of poisoning. Saseendran second wife, Geetha, and her mother along with 2 laborer’s starting vomiting blood.
Later, the police found out that all those who consumed morning breakfast had suffered from poisoning except for Dr. Mayoornath who did not consume the breakfast. Later the hospital also confirmed that Saseendran died of poisoning. Subsequently on interrogation by the police Dr. Mayoornath admitted that he was upset with his father Saseendran as few years ago, his mother had committed suicide and he held his father Saseendran responsible for it.
