International seminar highlights Ayurveda’s rising global relevance and need for evidence-based expansion
A one-day international seminar titled “Ayurveda Beyond Borders” was successfully held at Government Ayurvedic Medical College (GAMC), Akhnoor, on April 30, focusing on the growing global significance of Ayurveda and its integration into modern healthcare systems. The event brought together leading experts, academicians, and healthcare professionals from India and abroad.

Organised under the guidance of Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal/Dean of Government Medical College Jammu and GAMC Akhnoor, the seminar witnessed participation from distinguished national and international speakers. The diverse presence highlighted the increasing worldwide recognition of Ayurveda as a complementary healthcare system.
Keynote speakers included Dr. Varun Suthra (Director of International Relations, KIIT and KISS University), Dr. Nik Gugger (Member of Parliament, Switzerland), Dr. Sachin Bhagwat (Chief Scientific Officer, Wockhardt), and Anuurag Arora from VFS Global.

Meanwhile, Anuurag Arora elaborated on the role of global mobility and institutional collaborations in expanding Ayurveda’s international reach.
