Fifth Hospital in Bengaluru
Aster DM Healthcare has announced a ₹580 crore investment to establish a state-of-the-art, 500-bed multi-speciality hospital in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru. This will be Aster’s fifth facility in the city, raising its total bed capacity to 2,580 and positioning it among the top three healthcare providers in Bengaluru.
Asset-Light Expansion Model
The upcoming hospital, spread over about 5 lakh sq. ft., will follow a Built-to-Suit (BTS) model under a 30-year lease agreement with Kemwell Pvt. Ltd., part of the Kemfin Family office. Aster will fully operate and manage the facility, replicating the asset-light approach used for its Sarjapur Road hospital. The project is expected to be completed in the second half of FY 2028–2029.
Strategic Location Advantages
Located in Yeshwanthpur, a fast-growing healthcare corridor in northwest Bengaluru, the hospital will enjoy strong road and metro connectivity, proximity to Yeshwanthpur Junction, and access to a large catchment area of 3–4 million residents. The neighbourhood’s blend of tech parks, industrial hubs, and residential zones is expected to fuel demand for advanced tertiary healthcare services.
Part of a Larger Growth Strategy
Founder and Chairman Dr Azad Moopen said the new facility marks a milestone in Aster’s India growth strategy, aiming to build a connected, high-quality healthcare ecosystem across urban India, with Bengaluru at its core. The company plans to further expand across South India by entering new cities and strengthening its existing footprint.
