Bengaluru – Aster DM Healthcare has announced plans to invest ₹480 crore to establish its fourth multispecialty hospital in Bengaluru, reinforcing its position among the city’s top three hospital chains.
The upcoming 430-bed facility will be located in Sarjapur and spread across 4 lakh square feet. The first phase, featuring 300 beds, is expected to be operational by the second half of FY27, with the remaining 130 beds to be completed by FY29.
Designed as a comprehensive multi-specialty hospital, the new center will place a strong emphasis on oncology, marking Aster’s commitment to expanding its cancer care capabilities in South-East Bengaluru.
“Our focus is on delivering world-class, patient-centric care. This new hospital addresses the fast-growing healthcare demands of Bengaluru’s expanding population,” said Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder & Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare. “It also aligns with our vision of expanding in key urban hubs.”
The announcement follows Aster’s recent acquisition of a 5% stake in Quality Care India Ltd (QCIL) in a ₹849.13 crore share swap deal, part of its merger strategy announced in November 2024. The transaction has received all necessary approvals, including from BSE, NSE, shareholders, and the Competition Commission of India (CCI).
With this fourth hospital, Aster will now have a presence across all major zones in Bengaluru, significantly expanding its urban healthcare footprint.
